Did The Groundhog See His Shadow?

Groundhog day 2009!  Phil, is out of the hole.  Did the groundhog see his shadow? 
YES, the groundhog saw his shadow. Guess we’re in for six more weeks of winter!
AND there is already a prediction of snow on Wednesday in my neck of the woods

Pennsylvania's favorite told handlers he saw his shadow just after 8:30 am this
morning.  According to German tradition, if he casts a shadow after waking up from
hibernation on February 2nd, we will see six more weeks of winter. If he sees no
shadow, spring is supposed to come early.

Despite overcast skies (and temperatures near freezing) at Gobbler's Knob this
morning, Phil cast a shadow.  I do wonder how he can see anything with all the
cameras and lights, but nevertheless.

Atlanta has a Groundhog Weatherman, General Beauregard Lee, at the Yellow
River Game Ranch in Lilburn and is also widely known for his seeing abilities.

If you're tired of the winter weather, Beau did not see his shadow so spring is just
around the corner for the Southeast. And I say again, we already have snow in the forecast here in NC.

I guess in the end we’ll just have to see, huh?
